Built in 1854 by Captain Hannyington, Audrey House is one of Ranchi's oldest colonial buildings and formerly served as the Governor's Secretariat. After extensive restoration by INTACH, it was inaugurated in 2016 as a vibrant hub for art and culture. The building is a significant landmark of the British Gothic style in Jharkhand.
The galleries display a mix of contemporary paintings by Jharkhand-based artists, tribal art, and various archaeological artifacts. The collection also features sculptures and traditional crafts that highlight the state's diverse indigenous heritage.
Champaran Meeting Site: Historically significant as the venue for the June 4, 1917, meeting between Mahatma Gandhi and Lt. Governor Sir Edward Albert Gait, which led to the formation of the Champaran Agrarian Committee.
