Museum Introduction

Established in 2006 by the sons of Prakash Rao, a pioneer who set up the first Araku coffee shop in 1954, this museum is dedicated to the history and cultivation of Arabica coffee in the Eastern Ghats. It highlights the "Seed-to-Cup" journey and the region's unique contribution to global specialty coffee.

General Collections

The museum houses 3D dioramas and tableaus made of fiber and cement depicting the discovery of coffee in Ethiopia and its arrival in India. It includes murals illustrating tribal labor, coffee processing machinery, and a variety of brewing equipment.

Unique Historical Collections

The "Sampoorna Coffee Gallery", which contains detailed murals and life-size models documenting the tribal history of coffee farming in Araku since its introduction by British civil servant N.S. Brodie in 1898.
