It was established to preserve and promote traditional, tribal, folk, and contemporary Indian art, serving as a non-commercial institutional center for artistic excellence.
The center houses a vast private collection including traditional pattachitra paintings, tribal textiles, palm-leaf manuscripts, and contemporary artworks. It also maintains an extensive documentation of Odisha’s folk and tribal art forms.
Features a world-renowned collection of hand fans (Pankha), which consists of over 5,000 unique fans from various parts of the world, collected by Jatin Das over several decades.
