Museum Introduction

Inaugurated on December 16, 2022, in the Mhow Cantonment (Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, this is India's first and the world's second museum dedicated solely to the Infantry. The project was conceptualized in 2003 to showcase the "Queen of the Battle" and its evolution from 1747 to the present day, emphasizing the theme "Infantry: The Ultimate."

General Collections

Spread across a three-story building on two acres, the collection includes life-size statues, 3D-printed murals, and photo galleries. It is divided into 17 rooms and 30 subject areas covering major battles like Plassey, Buxar, and the Indo-Pak wars of 1965 and 1971.

Unique Historical Collections

Features a dedicated Kargil War Room on the second floor and a Fateh Gallery. The museum also utilizes advanced umbrella LED screens that provide interactive, touch-based histories of 27 different infantry regiments.

Notes The museum grounds feature a 106-foot-high National Flag. Visitors are typically guided in groups of 40 to ensure a comprehensive two-and-a-half-hour tour experience.
