Established within the historic Chetwode Building (built in 1930), the IMA Museum serves as a repository for the heritage of the Indian Army and the Academy. It documents the evolution of military leadership in India, from the first batch of cadets in 1932 through the various conflicts that have shaped the modern Indian state.
A vast collection of military memorabilia including vintage weaponry, uniforms, regimental colors, and historical photographs. It also features a specialized library and archival records related to the training of "Gentlemen Cadets" and the history of various Army battalions.
Houses the pistol of Lieutenant General A.A.K. Niazi of the Pakistan Army, which was surrendered to Lt. Gen. Jagjit Singh Aurora following the signing of the Instrument of Surrender in 1971.
