Inaugurated in 2009 by the then Union Minister for Agriculture, the museum is located inside Kera Bhavan, the headquarters of the Coconut Development Board. It was established to highlight the socio-economic and cultural significance of the coconut palm in India, particularly in Kerala.
Features a wide array of products derived from every part of the coconut tree, including shell-based handicrafts, coir products, convenience foods, and medicinal derivatives.
Handicraft Masterpieces: Intricate models of the Taj Mahal, Kathakali masks, and tiger faces entirely crafted from coconut shells and fibers. It also houses a collection of traditional coconut scrapers and oil-extraction tools.
