Museum Introduction

Founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II, this sprawling complex was developed over 400 years by 22 successive rulers of the Mewar dynasty. It is built atop a hill providing a panoramic view of the "City of Lakes."

General Collections

Displays royal memorabilia, including silver furniture, glass mosaics, royal palanquins (palkis), and an extensive collection of Mewar miniature paintings.

Unique Historical Collections

Crystal Gallery: The world's largest private collection of crystal furniture and decor, including a crystal bed and throne, commissioned from F&C Osler in 1877.
