Inaugurated on November 1, 2002, the museum is situated in Raja Mayang village, Morigaon district. It was established to document and preserve the historical traditions of "Black Magic," Ayurveda, and tantric rituals that have defined Mayong's cultural identity for centuries.
The collection includes a wide array of ancient manuscripts, ritual tools, traditional medicines, and archaeological relics unearthed from the local area.
Black Magic Manuscripts (Puthi): The museum houses rare ancient texts written on Sanchi Paat (Agarwood bark) or palm leaves containing spells and incantations. It also features unique "Mayong Stones" (Maya Shila) and tools used by traditional healers (Bez or Ojha) for rituals.
