The museum contains a vast array of specimens including algae, fungi, bryophytes, pteridophytes, and gymnosperms. It also features physiological apparatus, plant models, and a rich archive of photographs depicting rare flora.
Global & Rare Exhibits: The museum boasts rare international specimens like Dawsonia, Glossopteris, and Phylloglossum from Australia, and bryophytes from Iowa, USA. It also includes unique marine algae from Krusadai Island (Tamil Nadu) and carnivorous plants from Assam.
